Striping or …

Yesterday Niko Spelbrink explained to me why people want to create award winning stuff that’s not necessarily useful. There’s even a name for this kind of design: it’s called striping. It stands for the extra stripes on your BMW.

I guess these stripes are the equivalent of today’s rims on an Audi. We could start calling this kind of design rimming. But to avoid confusion I will keep using the term striping instead.
