Baked beans

This was one of the best plates of food we had during our travels through Greece this year. In a forest on Samothraki, in the middle of nowhere there’s this incredible taverna. They had this pan of sizzling beans. Perfectly seasoned, and the heat of the pan burnt the beans a bit from below, which perfected the taste.
